THEY might not possess the same silky skills or command the massive salaries of Carlos Tevez, Javier Mascherano and Lionel Messi, but Wealdstone's players will be hoping their new Argentina-style third strip will offer some inspiration on their quest to win Ryman Premier promotion this season.

The club's official kit supplier Macron have decked out Gordon Bartlett's squad in the famous light blue and white stripes for those away matches where their yellow away strips clashes with the hosts.

And the kit, which is on sale at the club shop during match days, is expected to be a hit with fans.

SERVICEMEN and women based at RAF Northolt in Ruislip are being enticed to Wealdstone FC with the offer of half price admission to the club's Ryman Premier League matches this season.

The Grosvenor Vale outfit recently secured a deal with the RAF base to use its training facilities and want to return the favour by coaxing military personnel down to support Gordon Bartlett's team.

Club Affiliate Manager Mark Lloyd said: "We are very keen to get the football supporting RAF men and women to engage with their local team and see a link to the airbase as a mutually beneficial one."

The club enjoyed a 40 per cent increase in attendances since moving to Ruislip last season and aim to increase the average home gate to 500.
