BRENTFORD boss Uwe Rosler insists his young side can cope with their fixture pile-up as the League One promotion race reaches its climax.

Last weekend's postponement at Sheffield United leaves the Bees facing a gruelling schedule of eight games in just 30 days.

Rosler's men kick off their hectic programme against Notts County tomorrow (Good Friday) before travelling to MK Dons on Easter Monday.

Brentford's run in includes long trips to Coventry, Crewe, Sheffield United and Hartlepool, as well as a crucial home clash against Portsmouth and a potentially decisive meeting with league-leaders Doncaster on the final day of the season on April 27.

The Bees go into the final month of the campaign in fourth spot, level on points with second-placed Swindon, but with two games in hand.

And Rosler insists his young guns can handle the heat.

He said: “Ideally, at this stage of the season you don't want too many rearranged fixtures.

“You want time to prepare for each match, but we find ourselves playing twice a week for the rest of the season.

“There are teams around us who have already played 40 games, but we've got a busy schedule.

“That's the way it is and we have to deal with as best as we can.

“We can overcome it. Everyone will have a chance to show their quality because we will have to rotate to keep the squad fresh.

“We have to be mentally and physically prepared for this tough period when the prizes are given out.

“It's important that everyone realises that and takes care in between games.

"Everyone must make sacrifices, resting and concentrating on nothing but football for the next month because the stakes are very high.”

Rosler looks set to rotate his side across the Easter weekend, with Antonio German in line to play some part after being recalled from his loan spell at Gillingham.
