BEES boss Uwe Rosler admitted he had made a mistake by giving Manny Oyeleke his league debut against MK Dons.

Oyeleke made his first appearance in League Two but was replaced by striker Clayton Donaldson at half time with Brentford trailing the Dons 3-0.

Rosler’s men produced a mammoth effort in the second period to rescue a point and the Griffin Park chief admitted he was wrong to throw the youngster in at the deep end.

“I think I made a mistake because Manny is a very talented player who has shown great performances in training and development games,” said Rosler.

“I felt today against a playing side like MK Dons we needed to overload the midfield because they’re very classy on the ball and that was perhaps a little bit too much to ask of him.

“In possession he did okay but I think the tempo and intensity took a bit out of him and he needed some help, which he didn’t really get.”
