HAYES striker Scott Fitzgerald has hit out at his sending off during the draw with Kidderminster.

Fitzgerald was dismissed by Amy Fearn after a tussle with Luke Prosser, which saw both players cautioned during Thursday's game that finished 2-2.

But it was the striker's second yellow of the evening, resulting in an early bath for the player who grabbed both of Hayes' goals.

And Fitzgerald, who has been out injured for eight weeks, says he was disappointed by the decision.

He said: "I knew I was on a booking and I don't think I got involved in anything but the referee has seen it differently.

"He (Prosser) did raise his hands but to be fair he did not make too much contact and maybe a yellow card was fair enough for him but I do not feel I did too much wrong."

He added: "We worked really well as a team. It was a disappointing end but nothing should be taken away from the fact it was a good performance and a good point."
