MARK Hughes admits QPR's miserable home record is to blame for their disastrous campaign.

Rangers have won just three of 15 Premier League games at Loftus Road this season – the third-worst record in the division.

QPR go into Saturday's crunch clash with Arsenal a point away from safety heading into the final eight games of the season.

But boss Hughes says they can be buoyed by their recent fightback against Liverpool as they bid to cause an upset against the Gunners.

“Home form will always sustain you,” said the Welshman.

“The fact that we haven't got as many wins on the board as we would like at home has been a problem. That's why we are where we are, to be perfectly honest.

“I feel very encouraged by what the players are producing of late, certainly on the strength of our performance against Liverpool.

“I think all the remaining home games we can be positive. We have difficult games in terms of fixtures but we've got quality in the team that will allow us to win Premier League games.

“We have the belief and know what it takes because there are no short-cuts.”
