SHAUN Wright-Phillips still has a big part to play in QPR's bid to beat the drop.
That's according to boss Mark Hughes , despite dropping the winger from his starting XI this week.
Wright-Phillips was left warming the bench for the midweek win over Liverpool and restricted to a second-half cameo in Saturday's defeat at Sunderland.
But Hughes has tipped the wide man to bounce back.
“Shaun has just been struggling for a little bit of form,” said Hughes.
“Having worked with Shaun for a long time I know exactly what he is. He gives so much in training and in games and he’ll never say he’s struggling.
“But I think some players sometimes just need to be taken out of the fray to give them time to recuperate.
“Shaun will be a big player for us from now until the end of the season, definitely.”
