JASON ROBERTS will host a star-studded game at Hayes & Yeading on Sunday to raise funds for the Premier League star’s charity.

The Blackburn Rovers striker has set up a foundation to offer kids sporting chances they might not otherwise get, and has returned to his roots with a cluster of stars to further the cause.

Roberts started his career with Hayes after being rejected as a teenager by Chelsea, but eventually made the top-flight anyway.

Former England international Andy Cole, ex-Fulham defender Ian Pearce, Nasty Nick Cotton from TV’s Eastenders (John Altman), Phil Daniels (Eastenders), DJ Spooney, Olympic star Iwan Thomas, and Miles de Souza from Emmerdale (Ayden Callaghan) are among those pulling on their boots for the Roberts cause.

Kick-off is 3pm at Church Road, with a £5 admission charge for adults and £2 for 8-16year-olds.
