Martin Gould is on the verge of booking a place in the quarter finals of the World Snooker Championships. The Pinner Potter leads Australia's Neil Robertson 11-5 and needs just two more frames to secure victory.
Gould, competing in his second successive World Championship, swept into a 6-0 lead at the Crucible, which included his fourth century of the competition – a classy 116 break in the third.
Robertson countered with the next three but Gould won four of the next five to regain control. The Aussie took the 15 th frame but Gould took a commanding six frame lead overnight with a 63 break in the 16 th .
They play to a finish from 2.30pm today (Saturday).
