Australia ...43 England ...33

Sonia Mkoloma and her England team-mates found themselves first down and then under in their second Test in Adelaide this week.

The Ladbroke Grove star is one of four English players in the ANZ netball league in Australia and New Zealand - the first professional netball league.

But try as she might, the rock of England's defence was up against it from the off.

England were unlucky to lose influential goal shooter Rachel Dunn to injury after the first quarter and her replacements missed some crucial opportunities in the game.

Although the English attack was disappointing, Mkoloma and Geva Mentor imposed themselves in defence.

Coach Sue Hawkins said: "I was pleased with our defensive end and thought they made Australia earn every goal."
