CLINTON Morrison is out to show his former club what they're missing when Brentford take on MK Dons tomorrow.

The on-loan Sheffield Wednesday striker scored three goals in five starts for the Dons earlier this season before returning to Hillsborough.

Karl Robinson wanted to keep the former Republic of Ireland frontman for the rest of the season, but the Owls blocked the move from their League One rivals.

And the 32-year-old admits he will put sentiment to one side as he looks to help Brentford's climb up the table.

He said: “I did well there and they wanted to keep me for the rest of the season. Sheffield Wednesday wouldn't allow it as we were challenging them for promotion.

“It's a good club and I enjoyed my time there but come Saturday I want Brentford to win. I'll be looking to score and do well against them.”

Brentford's return to form has coincided with Morrison's arrival. The ex-Crystal Palace and Birmingham hitman has made two sub appearances as he continues his return to fitness.

“If the gaffer wants to play me on the weekend I'm ready to give it a blast,” he added.

“You're only going to build your fitness up by playing games.

“I haven't started a game for three or four months but it's coming back slowly but surely.”
