SHALEUM Logan is due to return to training this morning as he closes in on a return to action.

The Brentford defender has been sidelined for the past fortnight after suffering a thigh injury in the win against Carlisle last month.

However, the right-back is expected to resume training at the club's Jersey Road base today ahead of Saturday's clash with Sheffield United.

Marcel Eger could also be back in training by the end of the week after more than a month out with an ankle problem, although the German will get a run out in next week's development game with West Ham before being considered for first-team duty.

Meanwhile, the Bees are hopeful Marcus Bean will be able to start jogging later this week after suffering ankle ligament damage.

However, the midfielder is still a couple of weeks away from a return to action.
