LEON Legge admits he is fast becoming Brentford's emergency hero when a last gasp goal is needed.

The Bees centre-back headed an equaliser with virtually the last action of the game to earn Brentford a point deep into stoppage time against Bournemouth this afternoon.

That follows his last minute winners against both Charlton last season and Tranmere last season, and a late leveller against Southampton the season before.

Legge said: “These dramatic goals are becoming a bit of a habit. It's one of those where you have to keep playing until the final whistle goes, and we kept it going.

“It's not a question of being told to go up and make a nuisance of myself when we need a late goal, it's something I tell myself to do – and I'll keep doing it.”

Bees boss Uwe Rosler also paid tribute to Legge, who he admitted had not had his best game in a Brentford shirt.

Rosler said: “Leon's a big threat in the air. He didn't have his best game and didn't look good when they scored – but to go on and do what he did shows his character.”
