BGB League Division One South & West Winchester City 3

Uxbridge 2

UXBRIDGE conceded a last-gasp goal to lose at Winchester on Saturday as both sides finished the game with 10 men.

Johnny Dyer gave the visitors a dream start when he headed them in

front on four minutes, but the hosts levelled instantly from the penalty box after Matt Bicknell had committed a foul in the box.

And it wasn't long before Winchester got their noses in front when Leon Osei's drive beat Matt Burton.

Lee Tunnell missed a golden chance to equalise, but Uxbridge did square things up from the spot through David Thomas.

However, both sides were reduced to 10 men on the stroke of half-time when Jones Awoia head-butted Uxbridge's Mark Dennison, who retaliated, and also got his marching orders.

The second half saw Chris Robinson go close for the visitors.

James Rowe and Mike McEnery tested Burton at the other end.

And just as the game looked to be ending in a draw, City captain Nathan Peprah Annan popped up with a diving header a minute from time to snatch the points.

Uxbridge Reserves drew 3-3 with Three Bridges with goals from Adrian Dinham, Martyn Fletcher and Josh Holder.
