Play off semi-final, first-leg
Swindon Town 1-1 Brentford

KEVIN O'Connor slammed home an injury-time to penalty to earn Brentford a draw and leave the tie on a knife-edge.

Massimo Luongo's second-half strike looked like earning the Robins a deserved victory, only for O'Connor to level in the dying seconds.

Uwe Rosler made two changes from the side that were beaten by Doncaster last weekend, with Lee Hodson and Adam Forshaw replacing Harry Forrester and Toumani Diagouraga.

Swindon raced out of the blocks and could've gone ahead inside the first minute, but Jake Bidwell was in the right place to cut out Adam Rooney's cross.

The hosts dominated the opening 20 minutes, but failed to take advantage of five corners, with a Gary Roberts' long shot the closest they came.

And it was the visitors who should have broken the deadlock when Bradley Wright-Phillips played in Forshaw, but he dragged his shot wide.

Rooney squandered an even better chance for Swindon moments later at the other end, with Simon Moore making himself big to block his effort.

Andy Williams headed straight at Moore, while Jonathan Douglas failed to find the target when set up by Wright-Phillips.

Swindon started the second half as they ended the first, pinning the visitors back.

Luongo stung the hands of Moore from 25 yards, but the home side's pressure paid off on 70 minutes.

Luongo found himself with space at the edge of the Brentford box, and the on-loan Spurs midfielder picked his spot in the bottom right-hand corner.

Rooney had the chance to wrap up victory when he was sent clear, but O'Connor's last-ditch tackle denied Swindon a second.

The Bees threw on Farid El Alagui, Forrester and Sam Saunders as they looked for a leveller, and they found it at the death when Luongo tripped Forrester in the box.

O'Connor stepped up to beat West Foderingham from the spot to give Brentford a psychological advantage heading into Monday's second-leg at Griffin Park.
