Jaspal Dhamrait’s double snuffed out a second-half rally from hosts Marlow to move British Airways up to fifth of MBBO Regional Two on Saturday as BA triumphed by three goals to two.

Prompted by play-maker Teto Jutlay, BA started well and took the lead when a sweeping team move ended with Dhamrait sliding his first of the afternoon under the home goalkeeper.

With BA keeper Barry Cooke on inspired form, the visitors protected a lead they would double courtesy of a counter-attack later in the half which saw Ajay Davital release Jutlay to score a superb solo effort.

The pressure from the hosts increased after the break, but Cooke kept them out until they finally reduced the deficit 10 minutes from time.

A nervy finish looked in prospect, but moments later Dav Sehmi, continuing his return from injury, robbed a Marlow player on the halfway line and released Sunil Pinachamini, who rounded a defender before crossing for Jaspal Dhamrait to score his second goal.

A last-gasp second for Marlow mattered little, meaning BA travel to league leaders Banbury for their last game before the Christmas break in good heart.
