MBBO PREMIER PHC CHISWICK........4 Amersham & Chalfont.........1

PHC breathed a sigh of relief after they comfortably eased past the whipping boys in the league on Saturday.

Had the team from the Linford Christie Centre lost to the rock-bottom side, there would have been little chance to escape from the relegation slots until the New Year.

As it turned out, Julian Amesbury got PHC's show on the road with an early crafted goal before Sean Doherty, Ed Wilkie and Andy Lightfoot's third strike in as many weeks made sure the team nicknamed 'Polly' moved up a place to ninth on a 12-team table with only their second win of the campaign. Richard Martin notched Amersham's consolation.

MIDDLESEX LEAGUE FOOTBALL CUP Horseed.....................1 FULHAM DYNAMOS.................2

THE ADAMS family moved centre stage on Saturday for Dynamos second quarter-final cup win on the trot.

Nicky Adams poached both Fulham goals, while skipper and brother Mark was an inspiration at the back. However, the black sheep of the family was the youngest Adams, Tom, who got sent off for dissent requiring his team-mates to defend for their lives in the final 15 minutes as Horseed unsuccessfully threw the kitchen sink at them.

* FULHAM DYNAMOS reserves lost 6-2 at home in the London Commercial League to Rebal Alliance despite drawing only 2-2 at the break.
