Hillingdon's Noorin Gulam claimed gold for Stars for the Future at the English Weightlifting Championships.

Gulam lifted 66kg and 84kg in the clean and jerk, falling just short of making a potential British U23 record of 88kg.

The young starlet led the line for Stars for the Future’s Hillingdon contingent, and set the bar by becoming the 2015 English champion.

Louis Hampton, also of Hillingdon, brought home a bronze medal for his club.

Hampton lifted 125kg to earn his bronze and was unfortunate to fall just short of the silver medal after missing the 130kg jerk.

Stars for the Future also claimed a plethora of accolades throughout the Championships as they finished in second place overall, with Harrow’s Adam Fedorciow picking up a silver.
