Hillingdon Archery Club’s youngsters shone as the club hosted their second Vegas competition.

The young guns showed the way in front of three watching Archery GB judges as the Hillingdon outfit looks to stage their first national event next year.

Hometown duo John Murphy-O’Duinn and Brandon Scully flew the flag superbly for the borough to finish first and second in the junior boys (experienced archer) category.

It was a similar story in the junior boys (newcomers) class as Hillingdon pair Aaron Laird and Jason Harris made up the top two.

Hillingdon junior girls Hannah Grainger and Himaaya Peiris finished runner-up to Ilayda Urcan of Pinner in their shoot.

St Kingsmark Bowmen’s Huw Jones won the Senior Gent Recurve, while Hampstead archer Anastasia Sichkarenko was top of the pile in the Senior Lady Recurve. Netta Bridle, Pete Stickings and Ben Stickings helped to oversee the afternoon’s shooting.
