Hayes and Yeading United failed to make it 11 successive Blue Square Conference South victories when they were held to a 0-0 draw at Bishop's Stortford on Saturday (11/4).

United remain fourth in the table after battering Stortford for most of the match but they were unable to conjure up a winning goal before a crowd of 444.

Dale Binns constantly tormented the Stortford defence and 20-goal striker Josh Scott, Steve Perkins, Will Hendry and Binns all went desperately close to breaking the deadlock.

However, H&Y finally had to settle for a share of the honours as their wonderful run of 10 successive victories which has booked a play-off spot was ended.

Tomorrow (Monday 13/4) Hayes and Yeading entertain second placed Hampton & Richmond Borough in their penultimate home match of the season.

Hampton's 2-1 win over Braintree Town means they still trail leaders AFC Wimbledon by three points and the clash at Church Road tomorrow promises to be a cracking match between two of the division's form teams.

Kick off is 3pm.
