Hendon & Mill Hill Ladies 2

Harrow Ladies 0

HARROW Ladies are still looking for their first win of the new season after falling to a second straight defeat to Hendon & Mill Hill.

Poppy Kimber’s (pictured) girls were beaten 4-2 at home to Southgate on the opening weekend and couldn’t get off the mark here either as they lost 2-0 in their first away fixture.

Harrow welcomed both experienced returning faces and a few new ones, however it proved a difficult day for the new-look side as they struggled to hit the net.

Kimber, Nikki Marshall and Chantelle Addow-Hamlin all had chances in the first-half but nobody could find the breakthrough and it remained goalless.

Hendon & Mill Hill struck shortly after the restart and to make matters worse for Harrow, Addow-Hamlin took a blow to the head and was forced off.

Harrow ploughed on without her and had a spell of decent pressure, but Hendon & Mill Hill scored on the counter to put the game to bed.

Kim Matchwick was the player of the match for Harrow after putting in an excellent shift.

Kimber’s side will be hoping for their first three points when Staines come to town on Saturday.

Meanwhile, a Colin Jones double and Joe Castle-Giffin and Alain Mehmet were on target in a 4-0 pre-season friendly win for Harrow’s men against Amersham & Chalfont.
