THE score did not offer a true reflection of an experimental Harrow side's plucky performance at Grove Field on Saturday.
The hosts, a mix of regular first team-ers and Lions youngsters, trailed by an unconverted try until the final 10 minutes when West London crossed the whitewash twice more to seal victory.
New Harrow coach Ewoud Botha included Lee Huggett in his side, the wing returning to the club after a season long absence.
It took both sides a while to get to grips with the greasy surface and Harrow repelled some early West London attacks with Nick Argent and Karl Nevin looking particularly uncompromising.
Despite the result, Harrow will be buoyed by the return of new skipper Simon Bram for their opening London 4NW fixture at home against Bank of England this Saturday (3pm kick off).
