HARROW kept faith with the youngsters that got them to this stage, the semi finals of the London Senior Cup, but they were ultimately overpowered by s strong Croydon side on Monday night.

The South Londoners were two goals to the good at half time and added to their lead with a 55th minute Dan Waldren strike and a further two goals in the final seven minutes.

To add insult to injury, Borough first teamer Danny McGonigle's road to recovery from a recent injury suffered a setback after he was the victim of a crude lunge by Croydon's Waldren inside the first minute.

He took another knock later on in the half before failing to appear after the break.

Ben Godfrey beat Richard McCabe twice in the Harrow goal in a devastating 10 minute spell before Harrow regrouped at the interval.

Jerome Hall and Kurt Morlese both went close to reducing the arrears early in the second perios before Waldren made the result save with a spectacular long range effort.

Shabazz Baidoo then scored before Godfrey completed his hat-trick in the final minute from the penalty spot as Harrow's second string were dealt a harsh lesson.
