Harefield United 8 Kentish Town 2

PROMOTION-chasing Harefield kept up the heat at the top after thrashing Kentish Town on Saturday.

The Hares are level on points with

Biggleswade Town at the top, and with the Spartan Premier title likely to come down to goal difference, a 8-2 thumping was just what they needed.

It took them just three minutes to find the net when Danny Buckle's shot was fumbled by the keeper and Netanel Elraz put through his own net.

Chris Drake made it two soon after, then added another to put them out of sight.

Adam Willis made it four before the break, but the visitors hit back through James Doku to go in 4-1 down at the interval.

Buckle restored their four-goal cushion

after the restart after Joe Kelly's cross wasn't cleared, then Adam Willis made it six [2014] nine minutes from time.

Doku grabbed his second to restore a bit of pride for Town, but Warren Gladdy's goal and another Buckle effort deep into injury time saw them run out emphatic 8-2 winners.
