Six HSG Swallows gymnasts have qualified to compete at the USAIGC World Championships in Palm Springs, California in June.

Shani Ross, Natasha Bishop, Emily Dixon, Mialara Coleman, Macy-Rae Simmons and Chennai Morrison will be heading to the USA following their efforts at the UK Gymnastics National Championships in Milton Keynes

The competition proved to be a resounding one for the Hayes club and their coaches, Nicola Owen and Tania Swallow, after landing 20 medals.

In the level 5, over 17s competition, Ross, aged 18, came out on top in all four of her apparatus - vault, bars, beam and floor.

Thirteen-year-old Dixon took gold in the 12-14 age group at the same level completing a clean sweep on all four of her apparatus.

Meanwhile in the men’s category, Jack Jeffries won gold for his parallel bars routine, silver on vault and bronze on floor, finishing third overall.

In the level 6, age 13-16 category, Bishop, aged 16 finished first overall after securing golds on vault, beam and floor and silver for the bars.

There were also medals for 12-year-old Coleman, aged 12, who competed in the level 6, age 11-12 category, winning gold for her floor routine and finishing second overall.

Elsewhere Simmons, aged 12, secured a bronze on the beam and gold on floor, finishing first overall in the age 12-13 category and eight-year-old Morrison, picked up all four gold medals and finished first overall in the age 8-9 category.

Ten-year-old Esme Devlin finished second overall after winning a silver for her floor and gold for her beam routines and fellow newcomer Luisha Bennett, aged 12, finished sixth in the level 8 category after winning bronze for her bars routine and silver for her vault.
