SKY Draper celebrated her 14th birthday with victory for Harrow Athletics Club in the second Chiltern League cross country fixture of the season.

The Northwood College pupil, who was recently the youngest person in the country to be selected to attend the British Triathlon Foundation's Olympic Talent Squad in Loughborough, took on the rest of the 74-strong U15 Girls field from the starting gun.

The triathlete (pictured) made a decisive uphill break before the halfway stage and carved out a huge gap between her and her rivals to cross the line in 13 minutes and 10 seconds.

The following day, Draper showed up the more seasoned athletes competing in the ladies' event of the Hillingdon Triathletes' Autumn Sprint Duathlon at Minet Park, Hayes.

Competing against 26 adults over a tough course that consisted of a two-mile run, ten-mile bike ride and a final one-mile run, Draper shot out of the blocks to run the first stage in style (times of 5.10 and 5.20). She pressed into a commanding lead on the bike with an average speed of more than 23mph before clocking the final mile in 5.46 for a total time of 42.55 - more than three minutes ahead of the second place finisher.
