Hanwell School of Boxing are staging a big charity dinner with 10 bouts. Among those taking part will be three of the club's brightest young stars.

They are the 2008 ABA Ladies' champion Charley Todd, Scott Luke and 2007 ABA Ladies' semi-finalist Kim Connolly. The club, based at Cawdor Crescent, off Boston Road, is aiming to raise hundreds of pounds for the British Limbless Ex-Servicemen's League through ticket sales.

The event takes place at the Thistle Hotel, Heathrow, on Wednesday, October 15, the first fight getting under way at 7pm. The club has benefited from moving into its new home, with membership and interest in the sport swelling.
