MILTON KEYNES LEAGUE

Triumphant Hillingdon Swimming Club swept aside all opposition to win both Division One and Two of the Milton Keynes League.

Hillingdon A team won nine out of 49 events in their final at Maidenhead which helped them total 228 points and record a convincing victory over Windsor (178), Ealing (174), Amersham (168), Staines (155) and Teddington (123).

As league champions, the team, consisting of boys and girls aged nine to 12 years old, will now compete in the Southern Final at Aylesbury on October 5, when the top four will qualify for November's English Final along with the top four from the Northern Final.

The Hillingdon B team was on home turf at Hayes where they won 27 out of 49 races to post a winning total of 204 points, finishing well clear of Chalfont (165), Wellingborough (144), Flitwick (114) and Leighton Buzzard (101).

That gave them the Division Two title and with it promotion to Division One where next year they will compete against their own A team.
