A combination of snow, frost and meltwater put paid to almost all sport in Hillingdon on Saturday.

No senior football or rugby matches went ahead and all 16 of Eastcote Hockey Club fixtures, home and away, were called off including the crucial men's first team game at home to Middlesex, Berks, Bucks and Oxon Regional League leaders Milton Keynes.

Eastcote, who are desperate to close the six-point gap, will now play Milton Keynes in their final game of the season on April 4, by which time the fixture would be meaningless if the leaders win their next six matches.

This Saturday the Boars entertain Maidenhead at 1.30pm at Kings College Road.

The ladies first team's game at Trojans has been rearranged for Sunday, March 8.

They travel to bottom side Wanderers on Saturday.
