Ealing Swimming Club underlined the maxim there is no ‘I’ in team when they took five fabulous relay medals at the London Regions Summer Championships.

Solid efforts all round from The men's ‘A’ quarter of Ben Levart, Cristian Rotundu, Tudor Puszet and John Britton struck gold in both 4 x200m free and the 4x100m medley relay.

The ‘B’ team of Joseph Sheehan, Cain Franchi-Webster, Adam Plasvic and Alexander Farrell added silver in 4x200m free and bronze in the medley, Joao Matias in place of Pasvic in the latter race.

The races held over separate weekends at Crystal Palace and the Olympic London Aquatic Centre saw the ESC women's team of Ekaterina Avramova, Erin Nabney, Rebecca Dutfield and Maisie Jameson met with similar success taking gold in 4x100m medley.

The boys’ 14-16 year ‘A ‘ team (Bryce Puszet, Miles Clark, Jahrel Murphy and Reef Hook) also impressed to take gold by a considerable margin in their age group 4x100m medley.

The victory was all the sweeter because they edged out fierce rivals Hillingdon and Camden.

Individually, 20 year old Britton set the bar high winning the 100m breast plus the 400 & 200m IM adding silver in 200m free. Rotundu broke the club record to win the 100m fly in style (55.95) collecting another regional title in 100m back. Levart, 17, produced fine swims to win both 400 and 200m freestyle.

Avramova, again displayed her prowess in the 17 years and over age group with decisive wins in the 100m back and free adding silver and bronze to her tally in 100m fly and 200m back, while Lucy Thornton took the 100m fly title.

Despite swimming only one of the two weekends, 14-year-old Brodie Judge became regional champion in both 100 & 200m back adding bronze in 100m fly.
