TERRY Brown admits record signing Byron Harrision is suffering a crisis of confidence in front of goal.

The January arrival from Stevenage has failed to find the net in 11 appearances for the Dons, and was left out of the squad completely for last night's win against Bradford.

And boss Terry Brown admits the 24-year-old is struggling after a barren spell in front of goal.

He said: “His confidence is low. When that happens it's not just the goals that are affected, the whole game goes.

“You look at Jon Main up to the last 12 months. He was a brilliant player but when the goals dry up the rest of your game is scrutinised.

“I've played up front all my life and if you don't score for two games it feels like it's the end of the world.

“It starts to build up on your shoulders and sometimes a break away takes the pressure off.

“Byron's been brought in to be big, strong and score goals. I'm sure once he gets one he'll get loads more.”
