DANIELLE Konotoptseva from Notting Hill enjoyed a glorious run in the AEGON Junior International tournament before being knocked out in the semi-final on Friday.
The 15-year-old beat Germany's Lena Schwerdtfeger 6-1, 6-3, and then eliminated Swiss player Chiara Frapolli 6-1, 6-4 at Roehampton. Konotoptseva took eventual winner Rosalie Willig, also from a Germany, to a six-point tie-break before going out 7-6 - this after the west Londoner lost the first set 6-0.
