ON a deceptively warm day Hillingdon's women's team made their way to the Roger Banister stadium in Harrow.

As expected, most members at least doubled up their events and Manita Scullard managed a personal best in all three, the 100m, 200m and long jump. The slightly dizzy and also concussed Tara McNally managed two personal bests in the high and long jump, despite her affliction.

Other notable performances came from Clair Thompset. Seeing a return to completion she surged forward in the last 40m to finish second in the 100m.

Also on the road to recovery Michaela Hutchison finished first in the 800m blowing the field away in 2.11.2.

Julie Martin competed in four events and gained a personal best in the hammer. Nikki de la Salle came first in the 1500m with a personal best of 4.51.

Pauline Fisher ran in both the 3000m and 1500m at probably the warmest part of the day gaining valuable points.

Manita stepped in for her second relay and helped Miranda Nicholes, Nikki and Michaela gain maximum points. The team ended the day in third position.
