CHAIRMAN Brian Barry will miss Feltham FC’s last ever home game as he is laid up in hospital recovering from heart surgery.

Barry suffered a heart attack following a club committee meeting on Thursday, April 4 and was rushed to Hammersmith Hospital, where following three days in intensive care, he went under the knife on Wednesday.

If all goes well, he will be remain in hospital recovering for the next three weeks, and so will miss tomorrow’s game against Warlingham.

With the club due to change its name to Bedfont & Feltham next season, tying the club up with landlords Bedfont Sports & Social Club, it will be their last home game under a name they played under for 60 years.

Club president Andy Lonsdale said: “Our thoughts are with Brian and let’s hope for a win on Saturday not only to celebrate a landmark game, but also for Brian.”

Feltham will be hoping to do better than in the past week, having lost 3-2 at both Epsom Athletic last Wednesday and South Kilburn on Saturday, before losing their League Cup semi-final 2-0 at Staines Lammas on Tuesday.
