DAN Sarginson is ready to champing at the bit to lead London Broncos to a first win of the season after suffering a frustrating start to the Super League campaign.

Sarginson was sidelined by a hamstring injury picked up during pre-season as Broncos lost their opening three games of the Super League season.

And although he finally returned for last Sunday's game at Wigan Warriors, he was not able to prevent a fourth straight loss for the Stoop side, losing 48-18.

He said: “It was good to get out there and play again. I felt the hamstring a bit towards the end, but it didn't seem to stop me playing my natural game

“I trained hard in pre-season but picked up the injury in training just before the season started It was a frustrating time for it to happen, especially as it was my first full pre-season, having had an operation last summer.

“It was difficult watching from the sidelines and not able to do anything as we started the season poorly, and seeing the boys down in the dumps.

“But we've got a lot more confidence now. The boys showed some good and bad points at Wigan, and we're confident we'll get some points on the board soon.”

The defeat at Wigan saw Broncos plummet to the bottom of the table after Salford, who they visit tonight (Friday), picked up their first win of the season.

It is the start of a run of four games against sides who have only won one game all season – both Hull clubs and Castleford – giving Broncos a golden opportunity to get off the mark themselves.
