BRENTFORD midfielder Marcus Bean has received his first international call-up for Jamaica and could feature for the Reggae Boyz later this month.

The Hammersmith-born star is in contention for Jamaica's friendly in Honduras on Tuesday, October 11, meaning he could miss Brentford's trip to Carlisle on Saturday week, especially if the Jamaica squad are required to adjust to high altitude.

However, Bean will be available for the Bees' home game against Huddersfield tomorrow and JPT trip to Charlton on Wednesday.

If he plays, Bean will become the third Bee after Deon Burton and Jamie Lawrence to represent Jamaica while at Brentford, while Marcus Gayle pulled one the green and yellow in between his two spells at the club.

The Bees' on-loan Celtic midfielder, Niall McGinn, has also once again been selected for the Northern Ireland squad, as they face Estonia at home on the same night.
