GARY Alexander's knee injury is likely to keep the Brentford striker sidelined for at least another week.

The former Millwall frontman missed the win at Wycombe at the weekend, and is out of tomorrow night's clash with Colchester.

Last season's leading scorer is also expected to sit out the game with Preston at the weekend, leaving boss Uwe Rosler short of options through the middle.

He said: “Gary will miss the next games. He is undergoing treatment.

“There were some complications, nothing major but we want to get him really fit.

“We don't want him to play too much too soon and have an ongoing problem until the end of the season.”

Shaleum Logan, Leon Legge, Sam Saunders, Toumani Diagouraga and Kirk Hudson also miss out again as the Bees look to get back to winning ways on home soil following the defeat to Tranmere earlier this month.

Rosler is likely to make changes from the side that beat Wycombe on Saturday, with loanee Miguel Llera expected to be promoted to the first XI.
