BRENTFORD have wrapped up a loan move for Watford midfielder Piero Mingoia .

Bees boss Uwe Rosler has made his second signing of the January transfer window by bringing the highly-rated 20-year-old to Griffin Park on an initial one-month deal.

Mingoia has made seven appearances for the Hornets, scoring one goal, but has failed to feature for the first-team this season.

Rosler said: “Piero's a talented, very hungry player with a lot of potential.

“He can play across the midfield and we will have a good look at him.”

Mingoia joins fellow Hornet Dale Bennett at the Bees, after the versatile defender rejoined on loan on Monday.

Bennett played one game for Brentford in his first stint at the club, but had his spell in TW8 cut short after suffering a knee injury in training.

Rosler was also hopeful of extending Jake Bidwell's stint with the Bees until the end of the season after impressing on loan from Everton.

He added: “Jake's fitted in very well, has played five games and performed very good.

“He's proved a good acquisition to the squad, and has provided good competition for Craig Woodman, who has responded well to the challenge.”

Meanwhile, Karleigh Osborne 's future hangs in the balance.

The centre-back, who is out of contract in the summer, has so far failed to agree new terms at Griffin Park and is a target for Charlton Athletic and an unnamed Championship club.

Sam Wood is in talks with Rotherham United over a permanent deal after impressing on loan, while Michael Spillane is set to leave the Bees for good to sign for Dagenham & Redbridge.
