SAM Saunders insists Brentford have nothing to fear ahead of tomorrow's trip to Sheffield Wednesday.

The Bees got back to winning ways with victory over Chesterfield last weekend, but the Owls are flying after seven-straight wins on home soil.

However, Brentford will be hoping for a repeat of last season's success at Hillsborough when they stunned Gary Megson's men in Yorkshire.

And Saunders, who scored in the 2-1 win, insists they'll be doing all they can to frustrate the 20,000-strong crowd.

He added: “They are flying this year. Everyone expected them to do well last year but it never happened.

“I remember we rested a few lads last year but the team that played did well.

“Hopefully we can get an early goal and silence the crowd. That happened last season, and if we can do that we can use the big crowd to our advantage.

“They will become edgy and could turn against them which can work for us.”

Saunders scored one and set up the other on his return to action in the 2-1 win against the Spireites.

And the winger hopes the performance can kick-start his season.

He added: “I had the problem with my knee, broke my hand and then got ill. Hopefully that's the end of it now.

“I got a start against Chesterfield which I've been waiting patiently for and repaid the gaffer.”
