KEVIN O'Connor will see another specialist next week as Brentford attempt to discover the full extent of his foot injury.

The Bees skipper was stretchered off before the break in Saturday's FA Cup win against Basingstoke.

O'Connor visited a specialist this week who confirmed he had damaged ligaments in his foot, but the utility man will get a second opinion next week.

Boss Uwe Rosler said: “We still don't know the full extent of Kevin's injury, but he will definitely miss the next couple of games.”

Meanwhile, Harry Forrester has begun light training after his hamstring problem.

But Rosler admits it will still be some time before the former Aston Villa forward will be back in a Brentford shirt.

He added: “Harry needs to do a lot of work with the fitness coach because he didn't have a proper pre-season.

"He's back in light training but he won't be fit for some time.”
