ANDY Scott is running the rule over Windsor and Eton striker Michael Chennels .

The 24-year-old smashed 31 goals in 45 games for the Zamaretto League outift last season, and was invited to train with Brentford this week.

Bees boss Scott gave the former Leighton and Berkhamsted Town frontman 20 minutes to shine in last night's pre-season friendly draw with Crystal Palace.

And he will continue to monitor his progress before he decides whether to offer him a deal.

Scott said: "He's been playing at a lower level but we've got a good record of brining young players from non-league through.

"He's contracted to Windsor and we're greatful they've allowed him to come here and train, but he's performed well and we'll monitor him.

"He's at university at the moment so we have to take that into consideration as well."
