GARRY Waddock has refused to rule out a move for Brentford defender Alan Bennett .

The Irishman spent a stint on loan at Adams Park last season, making six appearances, and is on the Wycombe boss's radar.

However, any move for the former Cork City and Reading centre-back will depend on the fitness of Wanderers defender Adam Hinshelwood, who suffered a knee injury on the first day of pre-season training.

Waddock said: "We took Alan in last year and he did well for us, but until we know more about Hinsh and make a decision on him we won’t make a move for any other players."

Benno still has a year remaining on his contract at Griffin Park, but is behind David McCracken , Leon Legge and Karleigh Osborne in the pecking order.

He will become the fourth Bees player this summer to make the switch to the Chairboys if he leaves TW8, following the departures of Nikki Bull, Danny Foster and Ben Strevens .
