MICKEY Spillane is training with Cambridge United with view to a loan move to the Blue Square Premier club.
The Brentford defender has made just one substitute's appearance since Uwe Rosler took charge in the summer.
Spillane, who is out of contract in the summer, told the Chronicle last month that he was open to a move away from Griffin Park in order to get first-team football.
And the Irishman has been handed a chance at his hometown club to get his career back on track.
