BRENTFORD are not alone in having a poor home record compared to their superior away form, according to boss Uwe Rosler.

The Bees dropped another home point against Bournemouth on Boxing Day, and were lucky to even get that, following Leon Legge's last minute leveller.

Rosler's men have now won just four out of 12 home league games, and lost five of them, but the Brentford boss believes it is symptomatic of a tight division.

He said: “Every team who comes here plays like that – packing the midfield, sitting back and hitting us on the break.

“Before this game, Bournemouth had got eight points at home and 19 away, and Hartlepool were the same before we played them too.

“It's a tendency for teams in our league. The teams between sixth and 20 th are not far from each other in terms of quality but make it up by being tactically clever.

“It makes it harder to out-play teams when they sit back, and that's why a lot of teams have better away records.”
