FOUR or five more new signings will complete Brentford manager Andy Scott ’s summer spending.
The Bees boss brought in four new players in as many days in a hectic spell of transfer activity last week – with Kirk Hudson , Craig Woodman , Michael Spillane (pictured) and David McCracken all checking in.
And when he returns from the team’s six-day training camp in Portugal, which began on Monday, Scott will plunge back into the transfer market to complete his squad.
However, he could well return from Portugal with two more signings already made, as he will cast his eye over a pair of Spanish triallists out there.
Scott said: “The squad is looking a lot stronger than this time last year. I’m taking 19 players out to Portugal, and looking at a couple of Spanish trialists over there.
“The budget allows for more players, and ideally, I’ll be looking for a squad size of 24. I don’t want to be relying on loan players again.
“I’m probably four or five short, and we have lined up a few triallists to look at during our pre-season games as well.”
