Lorna Bowler secured a dramatic home victory for Hillingdon Slipstreamers in the U14s girls category as the club hosted the fifth round of the British Cycling National Youth Circuit Races.

More than 300 riders descended on Hillingdon’s cycle circuit for the event on Saturday and Bowler showed courage to go for the win with just 500 metres remaining.

Millie Coleman was the first Slipstreamer to claim a podium finish on the day as she took her place on the second step after a strong showing in the U8s race.

Slipstreamers continued to impress as Caitlyn Loveless was third in the U10s.

There were third-place finishes for Gabriel Banner in the U12s boys and Isabella Escalera in the U12s girls. The length of the races ranged from five laps for the youngest riders to a challenging 25 laps for older competitors.
