Westside leapt four places after their first win of the season on Saturday.
The Kensington outfit were always in command, and at one stage shot into a 18-point lead at the end of the third quarter, only to be pegged back as Hackney appropriately turned up the heat in the final 10 minutes.
Ola Ogidan top-scored for Westside with 34 points, and new hope Matthew Lenthik at 6ft 8ins soared to add 17 points of his own.
