WEALDSTONE FC manager Gordon Bartlett doesn't blush too often, but there was certainly a hint of redness to the Bartlett cheeks when he received a bouquet of flowers on Sunday at the club's annual presentation evening at Grosvenor Vale.

But the blooms weren't his reward for seeing Stones into a respectable 13th place in the Ryman Premier Division - they were a present for his wife Jackie from the club.

Other suffering spouses of club officers were similarly rewarded, with Bartlett making the presentations.

Top award winner on the evening was midfielder Ryan Ashe, who claimed all three first team trophies, the Players' Player of the Year, the Supporters' Player of the Year and the Junior Stones Player of the Year.

Among other awards which were presented was the Supporter of the Year trophy, which went to Mickey Kane.
