ISLEWORTH & SYON School was well-represented at the Middlesex Cross Country Championships on Saturday.

First, learning support assistant Rebecca Taylor - running for Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow AC - won bronze in the senior ladies' race.

It was a return to form for the former England junior international, who is racing again following a long illnessenforced lay-off.

Also racing at Enfield was Isleworth & Syon pupil Bradley Goater, who finished just outside the medal positions in the U15 boys' race, coming fourth for St Mary's Richmond AC.

Other Hounslow pupils to shine included siblings Jack and Rebecca Killip, also running in St Mary's colours.

St Marks schoolboy Jack ensured County selection with his seventh place behind Goater in the U15s race, while younger sister Rebecca produced her strongest run to date to finish fourth in the U13 girls' race having been in contention for a medal right up to the line.

The biggest success for St Mary's, however, was the U15 girls, who defended their title with team gold thanks to Katie Iliffe (third), Ruby Woolfe (fourth) and Katie Bryant (eighth).

Their B team showed their strength in depth by coming third through Eve Edmunds (10th), Amelie Hunton (11th) and Molly Riglin (18th).

The U13 girls also successfully defended their title after Isobella Taylor and Nina Harding followed in Rebecca Killip in eight and ninth.

Kate Brown (third), Alina Mingham (seventh) and Rebecca Townsend (eighth) saw the U20 women land another title, while Goater and Jack Killip's efforts for the U15 boys, along with Ed Smith coming 16th, saw them pick up team silver.

So to did the U17 boys after Grant Bridgman and Magnus Assmunson fought off painful stitches to come 15th and 16th, following in Taylor Nunn in sixth and Ross Franks in ninth.

Meanwhile, other successes for Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow AC at the Middlesex Championships were Louise Smith's fourth and Christina Halls' sixth place in the U20 ladies' and U15 girls' races respectively. [25a0] WSEH had better results at other County Championships, with Nathan White, Rachel Stedman and Ellie Wallis emerging as County Champions for Berkshire.

Owain Jones and Louisa Lingley followed suit in the Buckinghamshire Championships.

Elsewhere, Rhys Glastonbury was awarded his first Welsh international vest for a forthcoming match with Iceland after winning the Welsh 3,000m Championship race at Sheffield, while Martha Reynolds and Laura Burke took home bronzes from the U20 800m and U20 300m at the South of England Championships.
