NEAL Ardley blasted AFC Wimbledon's display as 'unacceptable' as they slumped to defeat at Exeter last night.

Goals from Jamie Cureton and John O'Flynn saw the Dons slip to their third loss in five League Two games since Ardley took over at Kingsmeadow.

And the 40-year-old boss has demanded his side improve ahead of Saturday's trip to York.

He said: “We lost crucial battles all over the pitch. We didn't cause their centre-backs to break sweat and their strikers caused our defenders problems.

“We struggled to get into the game and conceded two poor goals, which has been a common theme for us.

“I was more disappointed with the performance than the result as a loss is sometimes easier to swallow if you have been positive.

“It was an unacceptable performance and we must do better.”
