Ardley rules out raid for Cardiff City man

NEAL Ardley has rubbished rumours linking AFC Wimbledon with a loan move for Cardiff City forward Rudy Gestede.

NEAL Ardley has rubbished rumours linking AFC Wimbledon with a loan move for Cardiff City forward Rudy Gestede .

The Dons boss knows the French frontman from his time in charge of the Bluebirds' academy.

But while Ardley is in the market for another striker, he insists Gestede, who made 27 appearances in the Championship last season, is out of his price range.

He said: “I know Rudy well, but I don't think we can afford him.

“I'm sure if Cardiff loan him out it would be to someone higher up the pyramid than us.”
